About OAcademy's Orchestra Institute
OAcademy is a global music conservatory tailored to a new generation. Member of The European Association of Conservatories, OAcademy Orchestra Institute offers an Artist Diploma co-curated with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the MET Opera musicians, and Mahler Chamber Orchestra musicians, among other leading institutions.
Led by icons from Yo-Yo Ma to Marin Alsop, from Augustin Hadelich to Evelyn Glennie, Orchestra Institute is accessible to participants from anywhere in the world from the convenience of home studios. Open to all orchestra instrument players in the early stages of entering a professional life in music. While there is no age limit, a minimum undergraduate level of training is expected.

OAcademy Artist Diploma
The OAcademy Artist Diploma is a fast-track professional certificate that prepares rising career musicians for the complex demands of an evolving performance industry. OAcademy delivers holistic development training for the 21st-century musician-performer-artist. Through its unique blend of interactive online and in-person instruction, fellows focus on high-level performance training, leadership development, and industry preparation guided by world-class faculty and mentors. The learning experience combines 70% advanced technical and musical skills development with a 30% career training focus, including cultivating practical familiarity with media, network, branding, mindset, management, and communication frameworks.
OAcademy’s fast-track Artist Diploma experience starts in January and ends in late June 2025. The program and pace are designed to fit within the busy schedules of conservatory students and working orchestra musicians alike, with up to 5 hours of live activities twice a week, self-scheduled instrumental lessons and studio classes every other week, and self-paced creative projects and independent study time.
The program’s blended format allows students, irrespective of global location, to benefit from world-class perspectives and engage in collaborative projects with colleagues from diverse cultures and contexts. The learning journey consists of six core components leading up to multi-step juries, which conclude a 6-month journey towards graduating industry-ready with an Artist Diploma.
